Senior BI Analyst, Jersey

The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is a member of the Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) team and will be a key player in the company’s data strategy, utilising the company’s data to generate powerful business insights.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supporting the business in designing, developing and maintaining BI solutions
• Analysing data and producing actionable insights to help drive the business forward
• Presenting information through reports and visualisations
• Requirements gathering from stakeholders
• Providing support and training to colleagues and junior staff as required
• Taking part in agile team ceremonies such as standups, meetings and planning
• Playing an active role in delivering the team’s ongoing data strategy
• Being a core representative of the BI&A function within Feelunique.

 Skills / Qualifications:

• Five years’ development experience working with a BI reporting tool such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, Looker (Power BI preferential)
• Strong SQL query writing skills
• Good understanding of relational Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) database structures. (MSSQL + BigQuery preferential)
• Data warehouse development and design experience
• Data engineering and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) skills, building out pipelines, and utilising data transformations
• Previous exposure to cloud architecture, frameworks, and software as a service (SaaS)
• Excellent problem solver and confident decision-maker
• Excellent written and spoken English skills and the ability to explain complex concepts simply
• Demonstrable success working both independently and as part of a team
• Well organised, able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and self-motivated
• Must have the ability to use own initiative
• Knowledge of an ERP is beneficial – Microsoft NAV / Business Central would be an advantage
• Machine learning modelling in Python or R may be advantageous.
