Disappointed, save your money and don't buy - no scent at al
I received the Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir candle as a Christmas gift and I was so excited to light it for the first time, as a luxury brand known for its beautiful scents. I was so disappointed upon lighting it for the first time that there is literally no throw from it at all - I've lit it for the second time tonight and absolutely nothing. It could be an unscented candle. I was expending it to fill the room, especially at the price point it's at. I would strongly suggest looking at an alternative candle if you're looking for something that makes people ask whats lit when they walk into your home.

A Bit Disappointing
While the candle itself does give off a lovely glow, the scent is almost non-existent. I have worn the perfume for years and know that it is a strong scent. People always comment on it because it is very present and invoking. I was hoping the candle would fill my home with the same wonderful scent, but that is not the case. After burning for quite some time it can still barely be noticed. Very disappointing to say the least.

Great gift
Brought this as a gift so kind of went with the reviews to pick a scent. This one was rated the highest however it probably is not something I would have picked if I had smelt it first - it is not a sweet scent. Great looking candle just wish you got more for the price.

Poor gift wrapping
I bought this candle as a gift but from a different store than usual. I have bought numerous candles before and have always received them in a box with the matches. On this occasion I just got it given to me in a small gift bag. I also asked for engraving but was told I would have to take it to a jewellers nearby.

Impressive throw
I use this in my living room or bathroom. This is scent that lends itself to Autumn and Winter months and works particularly well in evenings or late afternoons due to the patchouli base note giving it its spicy yet sweet scent. The fragrance is powerful without being overpowering and the throw is impressive enough that I smell the candle upstairs. I can at times still smell the fragrance in the morning if I have burned this late in the evening. I have found, however, that burning this for more than 3 hours can make the candle smell a little smoky and I have also found that it can make me sneeze and I feel a little bunged up as if I am reacting to something in the fragrance. I have this on every occasion when I burn this candle but not when I burn candles from another (French) luxury brand. Packaging is impressive (thickness of cardboard box and gift card and feel of the grosgrain ribbon) but not gaudy so makes a lovely gift on the personal or corporate side. I would say that on one occasion my sample was not in the order which was a little frustrating but it's complimentary so seems indulgent to complain. A star removed simply because I do react to this candle and because of the way it can smell a little smoky after a while.
