Directions
Apply liberally throughout wet hair. Lather. Leave on at least 3-5 minutes for the first use. Leave on up to 3 minutes for each subsequent use. Rinse well. To tame and blend away wiry greys, follow with Defy Grey Conditioner. For optimal grey blending results, finish with Defy Grey Foam.
For external use on scalp hair only. Rinse hands immediately after use. Avoid contact with fabrics and household surfaces to prevent staining. If contact occurs, clean immediately. Hair colourants can cause severe allergic reactions. Read and follow instructions. This product is not intended for use on persons under the age of 16. Temporary ""black henna"" tattoos may increase your risk of an allergy.
Do not colour your hair if:
- you have a rash on your face or sensitive, irritated and damaged scalp
- you have ever experienced an reaction after colouring your hair
- you have experienced a reaction to a temporary ""black henna"" tattoo in the past.

It really does work
Never write reviews but this deserved it. So I was having to dye my roots every 3 weeks due to grey hair and every other time all over colour to freshen up ends
Until I came across this only used it once and difference is amazing it's definitely covered most greys and blended them and coloured my dull ends can wait to keep using it to see the results. Has left my hair lovely and shiny and smelling beautiful used both the shampoo and conditioner
Would definitely recommend

I have salt and pepper (more salt than pepper) hair colour. Tried it once and left on for 10mins..
Really surprised with the result. No drastic overall colour change. But it toned down the silver in my hair with a look of highlights and low lights. Looking forward to trying it again after 1 week. Then will do regularly once a week.

Hasn't made a difference yet...
I'm a naturally dark brunette with grey hairs in my parting. To help with the grey in my hair, I had highlights applied at the beginning of this year. I figured I'd give this shampoo a try in the hopes that it will blend in with my highlights because I can't afford to keep up with the hairdressers.
I've used the shampoo twice up to now, and my grey hairs haven't changed yet. Even though I followed the directions and left it on longer the second time, I don't notice a difference in colour. I'll stick with it in the hopes that it will tone my grey hairs to the golden colour like others have said. I will state that my hair feels incredibly soft after using the shampoo and conditioner, so for that I'm giving 3 stars. I will update if the shampoo makes a difference after more usage.

It works!!
After noticing a handful of greys strands in random places I thought I would give this a go. I've never died my hair before so really want to hold off for as long as I can. Initially I followed instructions and after 2 washes 2/3 days apart following instructions the greys were still visible. After the third wash I could see them but they were less harsh. So instead of leaving on for the advisory 3-5 minutes I started to apply it to wet hair ( roughly towel dried) and leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes, sometimes longer. Then I rinse, towel dry and apply conditioner. I only leave this on a few minutes before rinsing. I'm now three weeks in and I am struggling to find where the greys are, they are blended to a dark blonde. I will definitely continue for as long as I can get away with it. My hair is a medium/dark brown and I have noticed a very slight change in the colour... it seems slightly darker and when the light hits it, it seems more auburn than it did before but it's a very subtle change. I imagine as more greys come through the auburn/ golden colour might increase. I will keep going as super happy with the results.

Works to take the glare off the grey
Used it once a week. I leave it on for 5 mins on dry hair before shampooing. The wispy white regrowth on my widows peaks were glaring white before now a blondey gold. Much better! I don’t want to dye my hair so this is perfect for taking the contrast down.

Simply the best!
I love this shampoo and it appears that alot of other people do too because it is often out of stock in South Africa. It is the only shampoo I use.
