Directions
How to apply this lip pencil:
Using the tip of the lip pencil, line lips first before filling in with color to create a bold, matte lip make-up look.
Try lining lips with one lip color, then filling in a color with a lighter shade for fuller lips with added dimension.
Allow the formula to dry fully for a transfer-proof color.
Sharpen before each use with the Pencil Sharpener (sold separately) for best results.

The best lipstick eveeeer!
This lipstick has become my favorite! I've never used such a smooth lipstick, and to my surprise, after a few seconds, it turns completely matte and has incredible staying power! I wish the price were a bit more affordable so I could have all the shades because I'm simply IN LOVE with this product! #SWEEPSTAKES

Probably the most drying lip product I've ever tried
I LOVED the prior formula of the NARS lip pencils. This new formula is incredibly drying. I think it might be the most drying lipstick I have ever tried. It sucks all the moisture out of my lips and they stay for hours after taking off the lipstick. The Dolce Vita color is not quite the same as the old formula either - this one is slightly more bluish pink on me.

worse than the old Velvet Matte Lip Pencil
I don't even want to give this one star but there is no Zero Stars option. I loved the old Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, which was perfect, but now discontinued. It went on smoothly. And the color Damned was the best fuchsia lip color I've ever found. The new lip pencil version is awful- greasy feeling, smeary, and I can't find a comparable color. I will never buy this again.

These lip pencils are too dry on the lips
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already use NARS lip pencils for a while but this time, it did not convince me. This (new?) formula leaves the lips very dry and is not easy to apply. I tried to put lip balm beforehand but even with this, my lips are left completely dry. Hope the formula is improved very quickly!

Love this product I can use it both as a lip liner for under a lipstick or all across the lips as the lipstick. It had a strong pigment is creamy and easy to apply
