Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant that brightens the skin tone and reduces the appearance of signs of aging. The Ordinary Ethylated Ascorbic Acid 15% Solution offers a direct-acting form of Vitamin C, an effective antioxidant that has been shown to reverse multiple signs of skin aging while brightening the skin when applied topically. In its pure form, Vitamin C is unstable in water.
This formula offers a highly-stable, water-free, 15% Ethylated L-Ascorbic Acid solution. Unlike Vitamin C derivatives, ELAA does not require conversion to LAA (pure Vitamin C) and is directly usable by the skin. Using propanediol as the carrier for ELAA also ensures that it can efficiently penetrate into the skin and offer the best possible results.

Love it. Don't get rid of it!!
Love the smooth consistency. Glides on and makes it ideal for SPF BB Cream to go on afterwards. Disappointing to hear it's on the chopping block for discontinuation.

Favorite product ever
I am 42 and have always had bad, sensitive, combination skin. I’ve tried a number of products over the past several years from the ordinary and now have a routine that i love and that actually works for my tricky skin. But, this product is my absolute FAVORITE one. Each morning, I splash cold water on my face, pat dry, then follow with the toner, ethylated ascorbic acid, then Olay anti-wrinkle spf moisturizer (sorry to stray with the cream!). It’s a simple morning routine and works great for me! My regimen gets a bit more complicated in the evenings, but it has definitely paid off. My skin is more hydrated, smoother, and no longer shows redness. I wish I could go back in time and give my younger self the ordinary products.

This is by far my favorite Vitamin C serum, I've used it for maybe 3 years at this point. Zero irritation, super stable, effective, just all around fantastic. I was having a hard time finding it and removed it from my routine, and my skin got noticeably duller. This past year it's almost never in stock, I finally found some at a store in England and shipped it over. Skin looked better pretty quickly, the PIE I had from a period of acne started fading right away. Really will be devastated if this is discontinued, it's by far the best Ordinary vitamin C product IMO.

Could've been a great product, but it's not for me
Bought 3 months ago, used for 1 week alongside other ordinary products. All were used as instructed but I ended up with some kind of reaction on my eyelids/around eyes (this product was never applied directly to my eyes) and top lip/outer nose and inner nose. I have mild psoriasis that sometimes flares up so I put it down to that, or an allergic reaction to something I ate. Either way I stopped all skincare for three months to calm/heal, resorted to lots of "sensitive" skin care. It took a while but went away.
I then reintroduced each item over the past three months, with no issue until I got to this product. Used in AM and by 5pm my eyes were sore and itchy, by bedtime my top lip/nose were burning. Following day eyes swollen shut and skin on fire, neck and chest (again product not applied to chest) out in a rash. Then I immediately knew this product was the issue. Had to be binned :( it's taken me 2 weeks to return my skin to some normality.
The reason for the 2 stars... it felt nice going on, not tacky/sticky, and once absorbed made my skin feel quite hydrated, it just didn't last long and the reaction after was absolutely not worth it.

I would recommend this for use on a maturer skin that requires brightening, however I would definitely be mindful when using it. Vitamin C can make the skin more sensitive and can have an adverse effect on skin that is sensitive already. You could start by using this product every other day, then once a day, slowly building up to twice a day as recommended.
