Product Description

This formula combines very high concentrations of two of the most powerful and important antioxidants in skincare: Resveratrol and Ferulic Acid. Resveratrol is a natural phenol found in several plants and pure source is 100% derived from Japanese Knotweed. Ferulic Acid is a high-potency phytochemical antioxidant found naturally in walls of plant cells. Skincare formulations generally incorporate Resveratrol at 1% or less and Ferulic Acid at 0.5% or less. This formula contains each at 3%, an exceptionally high concentration. Note: Water can impair the stability of any antioxidant. This formula does not contain any water, silicones, oils or alcohol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A gentle boost for my dry, rosacea-prone skin I've been using The Ordinary's Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% serum for three weeks now. I didn't have high expectations. I simply knew these ingredients were antioxidants, so I hoped it would help combat pollution and sun damage. My skin has definitely brightened and has a healthy glow. As someone with dry skin, this is a huge plus. The serum has a fluid, easy-to-spread texture that absorbs quickly. I love the subtle, botanical scent. I've noticed an improvement in my skin tone and hyperpigmentation. The serum has also helped calm my rosacea-prone skin. Despite layering it with other products in my nighttime routine, it hasn't caused any pilling or flaking. Overall, I’ve been quite happy with this serum. It’s effective, affordable, and gentle on my skin.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Creates swollen red sores I have what I always think of as tough skin having had acne as a teen and working my way through a decade of harsh drying products. I can now tolerate retinols and glycolic acids without problem. However each time I use this product I break out the next day in red dry swollen blotches. Like others I assumed it was due to something else and gave it a break for a month before trying again. Same thing. Im not allergic to anything that I know of except this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good antioxidant I like using this as an antioxidant other than vitamin c—to save on money and have less oxidation from vitamin c. At any rate, works good. I mix it with the arbutin and it’ll only irritate my skin a tiny bit if I don’t mix it with something. But I do like it and will continue to buy it as a replacement to vitamin c.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great and oil free Great products, which gives quick results. The ordinary team: pleas update description that it is oil free product, just because is is pure formula without water thats why it feels like oil, but it doesn't block pores. I can't see ignorance that many comments is about "oil product"

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad reaction This product was recommended to me in store after I experienced a bad response to a vitamin c serum I was using. I used it for a few weeks before my skin started to react badly - very dry, itchy and scaly. I removed all products from my skincare regime, not knowing which was causing it, and used some very simple hypoallergenic products, until my skin recovered. After a couple of months I reintroduced the Resveratrol and Ferulic Acid serum and almost immediately my skin reacted badly. My skin is once again dry, itchy, tight and scaly and my eyelids seriously swollen. I think the reaction was exacerbated by sunlight (despite wearing factor 50). I will not use again, and I'm just hoping that my skin recovers soon, because not only is my face very uncomfortable, it also looks horrendous

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Contact Dermatitis This is giving me the worst contact dermatitis. I used this on Wednesday morning and 3 - 4 hours later, my skin started breaking out in these tiny bumps around my mouth area and cheek. By Thursday, it spread-out around my face and neck where I applied the product, and on Friday it continued. These pictures are from Saturday. It stings when I go out in the sun and I haven't been able to wash my face with a cleanser, I can only use just water.
